never too old for DC comics!

i’m such a DC comics fan…collection extended to my undergarments! found this treasure @ topshop while frantically shopping with Jo for her D&D outfit

heading to JB again for a day trip with sarah and eileen to shop at city square once again…prayers for our safety is much needed!

i never take that for granted after hearing all the stories of how singaporean girls shopping in JB are ambushed and are raped in car parks, even with the boyfriend around. apparently, the boyfriend gets beaten up and is made to watch the entire ordeal of the girl getting gang-banged…

how handbags are cut and get snatched by thieves on motorbikes if you walk too closely to the road with your bag facing out onto the streets…

how girls go into the ladies by themselves and their friends wait outside, not realising that their friend in the loo had been knocked unconscious and dressed up in an old lady’s disguise, escorted out of the toilet unnoticed and end up in a totally different country, only to become a victim of a global sex trafficking syndicate…

to those heading overseas during this holiday season, please do not take your safety for granted. go everywhere in pairs or in a group where possible. you never know when this piece of advice and a prayer of safety will come in most handy for you.

how does santa manage every year?

am still doing up a list of christmas shoppin’ that i need to try and finish ASAP, but somehow a new person just pops out every time I think that my list is complete. aye. looks impossible at this rate…i SO need to get hold of santa’s management/organisation tips.

it’s the season to give again and i find the digits appearing in my bank account dwindling drastically even before christmas reaches, but i know God loves a cheerful giver. i just need to have faith that He’ll top it up again before i know it :)

anyway, thanks ning for popping by the store with your mum & sis to visit me and to drop off the lovely pressie! was in the middle of my sushi and trust me, i was totally stunned by your sudden appearance all whilst seaweed was stuck in my teeth and soya sauce was all over my mouth! love the gift!

every thing that you have blessed me with since day 1 of our friendship is always so heartfelt and thoughtful. but more so, i treasure the special bond that we have built up since our poly days, going through thick and thin in our projects with atrocious groupmates and sharing lots of happy and sad days together, major and minor milestones and turning points in both our lives.

thank you for still being there, for always being there and for the fact that you will always be there like a sister, a friend and a life-long confidante i know i can always keep.

to many more days of sisterhood and friendship to come…

it’s the time of the year again…exams! ARGH.

i really hate our local education system. only 2 weeks to my 1st of 3 papers, all crammed back to back and still not done with classes until next tuesday, which means that i can barely get my revision done without being interrupted with preparation for my next class. my profs are really cutting the ice very thin.

anyway, 3 more semesters and my bar exam to go after this one’s done and then i never want to pick up my books and study for any exam ever again. may try for a semester’s exchange overseas, just to get away from singapore. i have a love-hate relationship with my home country. it’s complicated, aye.

in the meantime, help me Jesus…my mountain-load of notes to read in 2 weeks for 3 subjects seems impossible!
