for my 25th birthday celebration, Ju took me to the zoo where we were instantaneously transformed into little kids…

even though my camera battery ran out very quickly, i discovered a bird shit stain that had already dried up on my top, and the rain came pouring while we were on the boat ride, i had a great time nevertheless.

thank you dear for your awesome company and for making my day! *muaks*

too lazy to load up my pictures from my 25th birthday celebration/s, so you’ll just have to exercise every ounce of patience once again.

to be honest, i wasn’t in a birthday celebration mood this year as i always have been. it’s like…i just didn’t know what to expect from birthdays when one gets older. it seems like as we mature with age, many things get strewn into our lives and make what used to be simple, complicated. but occasions like birthdays gradually become a simpler and simpler affair, because at the end of the day, all we want, is but a moment of peace away from the humdrum of the daily complications.

perhaps there’s a bit of irony in the title of this post and the tone that i’m setting here – i probably come across sounding quite jaded upon touching the mid-quarter point of my life; or either i’m just tired from working post-birthday for the entire day.

just want to thank everyone of you who kept my mobile phone beeping away with all your birthday greetings and flooded my facebook with sweet messages. i was really touched. :)

alright, shall blog again when i get hold of the pictures from yesterday’s birthday lunch with my best friends.

just jap

2 July 2009

had an overdose of japanese food last week – thrice to be exact…

IMG_0284Ju & i finally tried the jap restaurant, shokudo, at heeren basement – it’s like marche’s format, just that it serves jap food…

IMG_0276yummy delicious skewers, although they are super high in cholesterol (sounding almost like a health-conscious freak at 25 y.o.)

IMG_0279Ju’s mushroom omelette

IMG_0292Ju’s rosti & sausage (absolutely love the touch of sour cream)

IMG_0280salmon sashimi! my favourite.
