i think it is really sweet and considerate when the bf calls you up and informs you that his colleague is dragging him to the sleaze-bar, hooters, for drinks and politely asks you if you’re okay with it or he’ll cancel everything.

you must be curious about my response. i told him to go ahead and enjoy himself. meant every word of it. i don’t think every gf should keep their men at home or with them 24-7 and secretly wish they become monks. i think it’s absolutely necessary for couples to have their space away from each other to do their own things, hang out with other people and have a good time apart, as long as they know their priorities. but i don’t know if my nonchalance is a good thing, in the sense that i’m not as bothered like other gfs would be when their bfs go to such places where scantily-clad women strut around to get the attention of your man while serving him his beer and finger-food. in fact, on the contrary, i condone it. it’s either i totally trust him or i just can’t care less. problem is, i don’t know which is it. and i don’t know if it’s necessary for me to find out.

my overall take on relationships is that if a man wants to cheat, it doesn’t take sexy hooter girls to convert him. and if he cheats, as long as i never ever find out in this lifetime, i’m fine with it and i pray, and he better pray as well, that i never live to discover the “truth”. or if i do eventually find out, and he can afford to face the consequences, then by all means. i always think that one woman is too much trouble for a man. if any man can successfully manage handling his mum, his wife and his mistress smoothly all at a go, yet keeping them apart from each other, i take my hat off to such a man. not that i respect him, but this is one man who can time-manage well, undertake pressure very well and multi-task extremely well. yes, i liken us women to ‘tasks’. trust me, i know enough to assert that for a fact. sorry, if you’re a feminist reading this, you may now proceed to shut this page.

anyway, whatever my warped sense on relationships is, i’m just so thankful and appreciative that Ju is the man that i choose to be with. can’t tell what the future holds, but at this point in time, i certainly can’t ask for more.

omg, i finally got my hands on this at the rock bookstore!!! a comic book version of the bible drawn by the japs. took them ages when they should have come up with this long ago.

definitely makes bible reading much more interesting than squinting at the boring pages of tiny black alphabets clumped together, but i can’t guarantee if the content is accurate cos’ i haven’t had time to read it from cover to cover. whatever it is, the bible story is made so much more colourful and i must say, they did such a good job making jesus look so manly and handsome.*swoons*

one hundred[e]th post

to commemorate my 100th post in here, i’m just gonna’ show off my newly-manicured nails:

NICE, right! i’m not referring to my wrinkly-looking hands, but the sparkle red [03] glittery nail colour that i got from canmake at watson’s, which is on 20% discount!!! (original price: $13.50)

emily helped me to paint them, cos’ i could barely hold the brush with my left hand, let alone do anything without making a big mess…also got the bronze color [05] too!

baked with love

no, this is not a post on me baking anything. since the last attempt of making chocolate chip & butter cookies for Ju some time back didn’t quite turn out all that successful, and i got a huge scolding from my mum for making the entire kitchen greasy while having so much fun with one of my bestest buds, Jo, i kinda’ gave up on my baking skills. shall just buy from famous amos whenever the cravings arise.

oops, i digressed. back to the crux of this entry, genie just sent me this webbie about my schoolmates trying to bake to raise money for a good cause. they have a whole list of delicious things they’re baking and selling to raise $400,000 for medical fees for their friend who is down with leukemia…really touched by what these bunch of girls are doing in the name of friendship, amidst the hectic law school curriculum.

i’m getting my family banana and blueberry muffins…what about you?

glenn ong has officially declared that he is now with jean danker (the DJ with her eyes located at both the far ends of her face – i always thought she bore some resemblance to the lead characters in the show, ”alien”, or “ET”, whichever you like), while jamie yeo has not disappointed either with her new found choice of an ang moh (thorsten nolte – whoever that is), all-befitting her SPG-image.

i feel totally sick to my stomach that these celebrities can just move on with life so quickly after renouncing their marriage. leaves me to wonder what does it mean to recite those age-old vows in this day and age?
